In my free time over the years, between 'You Tree' orders, I have busily been writing and illustrating my own children's picture storybooks- my childhood dream! They're called the  'Yew Tree Woodland Tales', in homage to 'The You Tree' of course, which itself features within their pages too!

'New Kid on the Block', 'The Show-stopper' and 'A Dare Too Far!' are endearing rhyming stories in themselves, but are also aimed as educational aids to enable discussion around  social skills topics (eg. Bullying) in as fun a way as possible. Guidance Notes within explain how the trilogy of stories can be used as discussion tools around the topics.

Since publishing, lots of the animal characters seem to have taken on a life of their own,

and have found their way into a super GREETINGS CARDS RANGE and GIFT MUGS all of their very own!

In 2022 I was honoured to be asked to create a fourth title, especially for Hedgehog Help Prestatyn to aid their wonderful hedgehog rescue work, sharing the word of our beloved British mammal's risk of extinction and how we can all easily help save them.

'Prickly Pals in Peril', not rhyming this time, was launched the following year.

Iover the years to read the stories, discuss basic Bullying issues, and hold author/illustrator 'Q &  A' sessions for Primary classes, so please feel free to contact me if you feel this could benefit your school ..   Jo x
